In Between Walking My Dog, Cooking and Listening to Music

Here comes the man, the Hero

He was raised and enhanced to become a Super-Warrior (Tadaa...)

Comes the time when he connects to his alien-bred counterpart

Easily enough she doesn’t look like Jabba the Hutt

Consciousness crisis: alien endoctrinment vs. innate humanity

(she’s smart so she takes the avantage to making a wink at L'Oréal's casting team..)

Hero feels troubled

He feels confused - but in a manly way

No better place for a manly hero to think than under blossoming cherry trees

His course of action gets clear

Boy meets girl...

... hero gets the girl (I know, so binary)

Hero gets betrayed by perfidious girl (he didn't notice her 2nd name was Albion)

Alien/Albion kicks him down

Wich of course leads to major team related issues...

...that a hero's spirit is meant to overcome,

in the blink of an eye [he is The Hero, remember?]

Born with a attitude

His sight masters the horizon

Ready to reach it, no matter the battle he's sent into

Ready to sacrifice himself with a last line that will be passed on to generations to come

I think I remember trying the Halo game some years ago when the 1st episode of the franchise came out, but it was just not my thing - my body could feel from my actual sniper training how artificial the whole game experience was. (I'll also spare you the ethical thoughts about aiming a gun towards anything alive, let alone human).
Anyway, downloading the series was kind of "hey! let's have a look at how terrible yet another adaptation of a video game looks like. But honestly I was interested enough to go through the whole nine episodes set.
Realistic - as much as it can be when it comes to 'sci-fi'. Fine casting. Progressive narrative with smart use of flash-backs at the right amount, ditto for the sub-characters playing their parts in the whole scheme.
This series felt quite refreshing, as opposed to the numerous amount of Star-Wars reboots-prequels-whatsoever that ’they’ stuff us with...
Just my two-cents upon the late series I binge-watched.

P.S.: in the above I obviously set aside whatever this series’ pitch is. Should you want to learn more about it just click this IMDB link.
