And be smart about it:
- favor things that are produced/manufactured/sold locally or in your state or a nearby country,
- think twice before purchasing a brand new item and look for a second-hand one - my refurbished iPhone bought 3 years ago is still as perfect as the day its previous owner picked it from the shelves, same goes with my MacBook,
- and if you cannot avoid the ads, at least play cynical and look at them with critical thinking: marketing is but a fool's game, so don't let them fool you about a so-called need you actually do not have.
