663. If Your Boss Is The Bully Kind
I can't seem to remember when nor by whom I was given the advice, but it really proved effective at several occasions.
Have you ever had to endure a bully at work, like a manager and/or boss who never seems to be satisfied with whatever fantastic job and results you are delivering? The never rewarding face which you fantasize about to yell at "Go dip your nose in your own shit you bastard!"?
Well there is no need to come to this, for you can both keep your job AND get the satisfaction from humiliating him - or her if it's a she.
For years I had a bully as top executive. Never ever have I been personally impressed by his peremptory comments bordering on the angry, for each time he began to bully me - or any other in the meeting room - I just switched to the 'paint him ridiculous' mode.
Pick any absurd and obviously shaming outfit, now picture the bully in it and go on seeing him / her like this while they're coming at you. Believe me: nothing they say will be of any importance and you will be free to get on with your work as if you were the most important asset of your company, which you know you are.
Give it a try. It's a simple and free advice that won't hurt anybody, although it might help save your day at work - or elsewhere.
