Your blog is a study in contrasts... such beauty, but so diverse. Thanks for this.. just lovely, though it appears there were issues between the vocalists that went unresolved in rehearsals. Just a guess. :)

I kind of thought you would be the one to point it out.
I was not sure as wether they were on the same line (my ear is not as musical as I'd like it to be). Still, these two make quite the pair when it comes at singing this piece I think. (they may even even surpass the Elisabeth Schwartzkopf/Jeannine Collard duet).
As for the 'study in contrasts" well this might just be the best compliment I was ever given.
(besides the American guy who once asked me, years ago, about my accent and which British College I had went to - I hard a hard time not fucking him right away for asking so, but that was a business meeting so I behaved and kept my hard-on to myself...)

Es-tu fan de musique classique et d'opéra?

Pas fan, Mais il y a des compositions et des interprétations qui me font vibrer.
A la minute où j'écris j'ai la chair de poule en écoutant Summertime par Fitzgerald.et Armstrong :-))
