694. The Way GOP's Elite Still Think About Women

Worth putting on stage

Happily equipped

Elegant whatever the task

Gifted at multi-tasking

Always prepared

Passing on their knowledge through the day with a smile

Handling responsibilities

Essential anywhere

Surprising their husband with funny treats

Proud of the goals they are given

The true image of socializing

In one word: crucial, indispensable, essential... (ok, that makes three)

Again, the Oxford Dictionary defines: Decadent - adjective

having or showing low standards, especially moral ones, and an interest only in pleasure and enjoyment rather than serious things
. the decadent rich. a decadent lifestyle/society. 'There was something very decadent about filling ourselves with so much rich food.'

What a fun post. Except for the indentured women.

Decadent also means rotten.

In the Dorian Gray's way? Absolutely.
Yet maybe there's something better to make out of a pact with the Devil.

The Republican Elite seem to want to take the country back to a mythical period that resembles the 1950s where everyone except straight white christian men knew their place and stayed in it - or if they didn't, were beaten into it.

And as Bowie said, "This is not America."

You're right, Mark.
And, to paraphrase him, while these pseudo-Christians dare to speak about love they forgot that 'love is not loving'.

Why any self respecting woman would remain part of the GOP is a mystery to me unless they are certifiable basket cases incapable of forming their own thoughts...

I am no shrink but I believe that some people like to be objectified. The lack of a personality of their own - or the inability to construct one - makes them easily fall into the arms of self-centered dominative people.
