I've been having mixed feelings for a long time about 'modern art', balancing between ecstatic moments (from HR Giger to Jean-Paul Goude via Mondrian etc) and the dripping filth of a Basquiat or the lazy creativity of a Christo and the like.
I now kind of find solace in watching the humorous interpretations of classics such as the ones above. I think they line up quite fine with Warhol saying we'd all have our 15 minutes of fame one day. He was thinking about TV, Photoshop makes it now even more easy :)
As per the work they put in it my heart goes out to Pierre & Gilles. But that'll be something about which I will post later - maybe.
