A place I wish I would have had time to go for dinner the only time I went to SF:
Cliff House restaurant, north of Ocean Beach, San Francisco. It unfortunately burnt following the 1906 earthquake, was rebuilt in 1909 with several modifications along the years :

I took my mom there for dinner once when she came into town. I'm also sure I went with someone on a date there. The views were fantastic, but the food was...unremarkable.
