1032. Not My Country, I Know. Still...
I am astonished, baffled, dismayed by such cretinism.
One news pundit called this "self-immolation." She's correct. Now, if the truly vulnerable were not at risk, I'd say let the mfs contract the virus and die off.
@Rick: I beg to differ. Whatever we are to witness during whatever the amount of time we have left, and maybe no matter how important our opinions and voices as unique individuals, we still have a voice which we must use to enforce our inherent right to make choices as part of a group of people. This blog has no political aim, this we all know I think, for that’s not my thing. But I can’t have a friend of mine let go of the idea that things can get better. For they have to. Stand straight, chin up, inhale deep. You are a beautiful person and your voice matters, so tell it to yourself you holly-fucking-marvellous-survivor! (Now I’m thinking that I should make this my everyday motto:)

Welcome to the United States.
Very sad.

We are witness to the Decline and Fall of The Holy Roman Empire. Oops...I meant the United States.
That's the way I sadly see it too.
"and the only thing that had not escaped and remained in the box was hope"
Not sure it'll suffice.
I'm afraid all my hope is gone.

Laurent, thank you for the encouraging reply to my comment. You could be a support therapist.
