No it's not. But if he had been for adoption at the time I got Astrid I would have most probably fell for him. His name is Dillon and he's been adopted a couple of days ago in Great Britain (was found aside his previous owner who had passed away). Finally he gets a new loving family right before Christmas - the kind of story ending we all love, don't we?

Poor things, left all alone while Daddy goes to sing the praises of the Invisible Magic Man in the Sky.

What a heart warming story.

I have 4 cats I adopted 3 years ago from a cat shelter and some have similar abandoned story.

My Adam, 3yo was found in a wet box on a backstreet, at 3 months with 3 sisters of his. The first time I saw him at the shelter, he came to me and was purring and was in love with me and that was it... Me too I couldn't resist and adopted him. He is now a full grown up cat and is still very affectionate and follows me all around my place.

So many of those sad stories of animals left by bad people.

JiEL: what's heartwarming I think is to know - and sometimes meet - people who understand that giving their heart and attention they may, just may, become a better person. It doesn't have cost much, as long as the person, or rescued animal for that matter, is offered some solace at no longer feeling alone. Like I commented elsewhere: it could have been me the beggar - it once almost has been me, actually. So thank you for having your heart at the right place.

Upton: the view of a sloth automatically makes me want to cuddle it too. But beware of its claws...
