1372. Yep! I remember

Each summer we crossed France for about 700km to reach the Alps where we spent the whole month of August. The half-way pic-pic time was the first step to actually enjoying our vacations, and we always selected with caution a little road that departed from the main way, going for the shades of a grove of trees.

We never took vacations when I was a little tyke. Only once: to Niagara Falls and a drive past the locks of the St. Lawrence Seaway. But, the packing of food was the way it went.

That's the way to take a trip.

Did it in my young times with my parents and sometimes with uncles, aunts and many cousins. Good souvenirs when we were having simple joys in going on trips.

We did the same, as we couldn't afford to eat out at all. Simple pleasures are the best.
