Proudly and Openly self-declared bisexual, he was since 1970 in a gay relationship with another actor.
In 1976, we was stabbed and killed in front of the apartment building.
After his death the police found his flat a collection of nude men photos and gay porn.
And for anyone interested, the tall attractive girl dancing with Sal is Juliet Prowse, born in Bombay, India, lived her childhood and early teens in South Africa, danced in Paris, moved to the U.S. for 4 decades long career in movies, television and many Broadway shows. I saw most of the tv specials and even this gay guy could appreciate her long gorgeous legs and dazzling costumes. A beautiful woman.
