Hmmm... I will take this under advisement. But, it seems there are a lot of '10 Seconds of Negativity' to ignore these days.
Nicely put!
Upton is right --- here in the US we have a plethora of negative seconds to overlook each day. BUT, I sure agree with the sentiment and I try my best to move forward.
I'v long experienced that walking the positive attitude path often leads to the 'Coué' method, which works fine regarding both personal matters and professional issues, until... one gets a serious breakdown and every 'helpful' attitude they used to rely upon becomes as useful as a dessert spoon when in a sinking boat.
Since then I tend to be cautious when meeting people displaying a somewhat sustained positivism. Just as I possibly appear as an annoying person to those who fall for the 'everything was better back in the days".
To each I simply ask to compare and measure their points of view to facts and alternate opinions, including those from sources they're used to discard. This must be my innate Devil's advocate side, can't help it (plus it’s fun :-)
Anyway, as little as there seems to be to rejoice about in this decadent and sick era of ours, the statement in the meme above stands true. Dixit an ad campaign from the NewMan brand in the 80s: "Life's too short to dress sad", LoL!
