I'm sure there are more, but this Norman Rockwell is new to me. He's always been a favorite painter of mine for his ability to tell a complex story in such intricate detail. I can't just glance at his work and walk away. There is so much to see, all the little stories hidden among the main theme, it's like a favorite movie you watch repeatedly and discover something you hadn't noticed before. A remarkable work, thanks for posting.

He was such a great painter.

I agree with you both. Each of the paintings from him I saw made me feel how in love he must have been with their subjects and characters. I would very much like have had the chance to meet him and hear him talk about his vision of things and people. Maybe in another life.

Poor little pup. I've never seen this one, either. Great story. He could tell one, now couldn't he? Thanks for sharing. Very busy week for me... and not sleeping either. So, feeling the pain. Take care. Kizzes.

@Upton: I do hope you'll soon get some time for yourself to rest. 'Busy' as you say does not seem to currently rhyme well with your beloved Prairie. Please take care of yourself too.
