Hello Cutie
Honestly, I never understood why so many people dislike bats.
I wondered the same thing. All they see are what they see in movies. Bats are very good for the environment. I once rescued one at the apartment complex where I lived. I did a video of it on my blog in my hand. It was a baby.
I agree with you: they are so helpful. But many people seem to be stuck in medieval superstitions. I've had bats enter my apartment(s) at night, flying around without hitting anything before finding the window through which they could exit. And their wingbeats made a silken sound.
