A post at Mark's recently made me want to re-watch the Fringe series. I finally scratched that itch and retrieved the five season from wherever it's stored on the Inter-webs.
And its weird "charm" is working again. Many series, some of them I consider as excellent ones, hardly pass the test of time as they become kind of kitsch, tampered with many details that date them and make them visually less serious to apprehend. But Fringe could almost have been filmed and aired a year or two ago. Mulder & Scully… not that much.
Probably because J.J. Abrams was more interested into the characters than in a technological show-off.
Anyway, with five seasons adding up to a square round 100 episodes, I feel fully equipped to face any rainy day to come :- )
