I was moved to read this, probably because despite my cynicism, I still want to believe that good people trump "other people". I know that being a good person is always a work in progress, which is why I signed up a few months ago to be one of the fire alarm people on my site. In case of an actual fire, I mean. If it's a gun carrier incident, I'll trust my former military training to try and take control of the situation.
How is it that people who call themselves religious are brandishing weapons when all monotheistic religions claim that life is sacred? Another inconsistency - which in my language is called hypocrisy.
