This year autumn's equinox falls - pun intended - on the 23rd of September.
I have rather mixed feelings about this change of season. Like most people I feel a wee sad that summer is now gone, which I balance with the satisfaction that heatwaves are too. In fact, the one thing I find truly annoying at this time of year is that we are entering a six months period during which daytimes will be shorter than nighttimes. Boring, don't you think?
But in the weeks to come it'll also be time for repotting the plants that need it in order for their root system to reinforce and prosper during winter.
Soon ahead will also be the time to take the pull-overs from the closet - especially all my woolen turtlenecks, love wearing those.
Anyway, wish you all a wonderful autumn, and a glorious spring to all of my visitors from the south hemisphere!

Enjoy your fall activities. I'll be moving plants around in my garden today, which I am looking forward to!

I do love Autumn, but I'm in total agreement about daylight being shorter AND it makes no sense turning the clocks back an hour in. November.
