I am not Jewish, yet I was born from parents who fought for them and their right to live freely and quietly. As any honest citizen should.
And I am willing to fight as well for the same values.
As an atheist I do not care for whatever religion people claim themselves they belong to. As long as they aim at living peacefully altogether they'll get my support.
For those whose teachers made a pass on the matter, I encourage you to read Wikipedia's article on the Kristallnacht there.

I may be mistaken on this but is this a subject the far right would prefer to not be covered in public schools?

@stache. You are right. It's one of a number of things these latter-day Nazis prefer to ignore. My Dad fought the Nazis in WWII. He would have a stroke if he saw how close they are to coming to power in the US.
