If you've seen Lady Gaga's reprise from 'Mon Truc en Plume' from Zizi Jeanmaire (bio to be read Here in English), here's the original. Less cotton-candy, I'd say.
Her show, including this Hit which was firstly performed at London's Alhambra Theatre in 1961, as well as the fame she already got from her American career had her invited at the Ed Sullivan Show in 1965.
Up to 2000, the year she passed, she was still in the same beautiful shape (and with these legs to die for).
My respects, Ms Zizi Jeanmaire.
Fun Fact: I was made aware of Lady Gaga's 'performance' for the Paris' Olympics at lunch today by a straight colleague of mine (I'd love to help the guy explore new horizons, but that is another story). Then tonight it popped up again in the blogs I follow (Mistress Maddie Here, you ought to bookmark it if not done already). Thank you, Steven.

I dare say, that was more entertaining than Gaga's!
What a nice shout out! While a so-so fan of Lady Gaga, I do think she did a wonderful performance....but I was a huge fan of ZiZi Jeanmarie. Gaga did a nice ode to her. And that ensemble she wore was drag queen role model material.
I thought Gaga's performance was a nice homage. But you can't beat the real thing.
