OMG! He sums is all as this 47 president is a huge liar to USA's people.
To say about electricity, here I pay $0,06 Kw/h (Can) for the first 2 400 KW/h and $0,10 for the rest 600Kw/h as in Florida where my cousin is for the winter is around $0,16 Kw/h. In US currency.
See here taken on the Florida power site.
-Residents in Florida spend about $288 per month on electricity based on utility bills shared with EnergySage—that translates to $0.16 per kWh of electricity, roughly 20% lower than the national average of $0.20/kWh. -
It's sure that his tariffs illusion for Americans is making many goods to rise their prices and make them pay for it.
Putting them on our Canadian raw materials like aluminum, iron, lumber, copper, nickel etc is going to rise prices on cars, appliances, housing etc..
If he is keeping on doing this the US economy will more and more struggle of the prices going up.
Saddly the ones who will more suffer will be the poorest of your people.

Robert Reich has been the voice of sanity both in and about the Federal Government and leadership for decades.

He served both under the Ford and Carter administrations during their presidencies and was Secretary of Labor under Clinton. Many of his policies and with his guidance, the US saw a booming employment force and growth of the GDP for several years.

Reich is non-partisan and will call out anyone - regardless of party - for stupidity and is considered a brilliant hero for the middle class here in the US; I wish we had more people with his clarity, critical thinking skills and perspective that were willing to serve in the government today.

I couldn't agree more with your depiction of Robert Reich. Most governments would benefit of non partisan bright counsellors such as him, along with relevant economists such as Paul Krugman. Alas, the American major news outlets being owned by billionaires, their voices and free speech had to go to social network such as substack where I follow them. and I encourage the readers of this blog to check them up and follow them too for they are truly inspirational.

Men like Reich should be President.
Instead we have a madman in the White House demolishing the Nation and his minions destroying its very fabric.

I don't know a lot about Paul Krugman; I'll have to take a look at his work and theories. Thanks for the reference!

While his theories weren't very popular at the time (and hated by capitalists today), the more I read of John Maynard Keynes is making more and more sense. Unrestrained capitalism is a blight on the United States; while the government shouldn't control the economy, I do agree with Keynes that the government should be a guiding force and (when necessary) limiter of it.

During times of a strong economy and workforce? Eliminate/Cap loopholes and raise taxes to help constrain capitalism and wealth inequality as well as providing benefits and social services for the population that make sense and strengthen the lower and middle classes. During times of economic turndown? Lower taxes, widen or open loopholes, provide economic stimulation packages and provide increased social services to maintain the status quo.

The US jumps on the part of economic stimulation during hard times, but balks at raising taxes or reducing loopholes during other times because it's politically unpopular. But, it's the only way you are going to get balance without sliding into the sh*tshow that we have going on right now... :(

Thanks for the video though!
