963. It All Started with a Comment of Mine

Yep, it started as comment on Rick's blog, following this Twitter's caption:

So many efficient changes started with simple ideas such as this one, didn't they?

My comment was: "I just wish that someone would hack the news channels so that THIS would happen live!"
Rick's answer: "I doubt it would make a difference."

I was about to answer back on his blog but out of respect for my friend Rick I decided not to pollute his comment section with my logorrhea :-)

Because I was caught up with the old scout spirit in me that happens to inadvertently surface once in a while, screaming for balance, equity and good deeds in a world that seems to care less and less for these values.

So yes, maybe it would not make an actual immediate difference.

Yet I think it could.

I mean look at all the damage done by Shitty-Fox-Pseudo-News which, being the official right-wingers whore, has been acting like nothing more than a propaganda channel, spreading more fake news than any Joseph Goebbels would have dreamed of.

Now, and this is a message I would like to address to all truly Democratic rulers/politicians/ influencers/whoever: learn and know your History, and take benefit of it. If a lie endlessly repeated can supposedly become a *truth*, then stop draping yourselves in your so-called righteous manners and start fighting hard, mean even if necessary - which currently seems obvious to us electorate. Only your weapon has to be the truth - yes, that's quite the challenge for you politicians, so you'd better man up, women up, LGBTQ+AZERTY up!

Think out of your usual political box, rewrite your speeches playing turnabouts such as the one in that clever tweet (mundane people remain a source of common sense, only fools forget that), expose the dead bodies that lie within your opponents' closets if need be, let go of compromises and impose yourselves and your ideas while you are governing, for your window at doing so will be short so you may as well make the best of it for any lost battle will thereafter be on you - and therefore the shame.

Right wingers are Cro-Magnions eager to destroy anything that comes in the way of their own personal benefit and supremacy?

Acknowledge it, then show how much more advanced the Neanderthal were. Once peaceful millennia ago, now willing to fight. Not out of revenge, just out of fairness for all.

You can roll up your sleeves, dirty up your hands AND uphold the law which you were elected for.

Or else get prepared for the Guillotine of History.
