“Is homosexuality a ‘soul-deadening’ perversion? Let’s try an experiment:
I’m going to rip out the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling; burn Handel’s Messiah; slash the Mona Lisa; bury Walt Whitman’s ‘Leaves of Grass;’ incinerate every Tchaikovsky score; torch every Greta Garbo film; ban every Bessie Smith song; and grind every Marlene Dietrich performance to dust.
Then we can evaluate what kind of ‘soul-deadening’ world we would live in without gay people.”
Preston Reese - Excerpt from a 1999 Letter to the Editor of the Sacramento Bee.
And the list above is merely a iota of the countless number of homosexual people who contributed to make the world a better place for ALL of us to live.

I forget his site has really good stuff sometimes.
Great post!
Erase every Leonard Bernstein recording, destroy all copies of the Lord of the Rings movies, because Ian McKellen (Gandalf) is gay ... the list goes on and on. -Larry
I am always stunned when men like that Lt. Governor get up and spew their ignorant hatred. In this day and age? Really? Haven't we evolved beyond that? One would think so. And one would certainly hope so...
I agree with you Gents. The list is endless and yet it seems there's always narrow minded people - or educated-less? - who come up with the sole argument they seem to be able to resort to: hatred of minor difference.
As much as 'Humanity' seems to be a fine word to write down, it remains a dreadful one to observe in the field.
Brillant POST!!!!!!
Thank you Mistress Maddie.
It's kind of an echo to Rick's excellent post with the video about stupid people.
